Andrea D. Davis, MA LMHC  developed her expertise as a Career and Personal Development Coach/Consultant by working for many years in the private and non-profit sectors. Her extensive experience serving clients dealing with transition began when she was hired to teach the Displaced Worker Program while getting her masters degree in psychology. After graduation she continued to lead the program at two community colleges in Washington state as well as working with clients in her own private practice.

Andrea has gone on to teach at the career center at Alameda Community College in the Bay Area and held workshops for Fortune 500 companies on such topics as leadership, stress-management, motivation, presentation skills, time management, decision making and goal setting. Focusing on strategies for success Andrea begins with an exploration into the meaning of work in the client’s life and how economic change, ethnicity or relocation can influence their career choices. To help with this process she includes opportunities for assessing and understanding their career behaviors both personally and professionally as they discover their core competencies and values using such tools as Articulating Your Dependable Strengths, MBTI, DISC, FIRO-B and Keirsey Temperament to name a few techniques. Taking action is the next step and collaboratively Andrea helps develop a plan using resources from the community to find leads, resume and cover letter preparation, practiced interview techniques and follow-up.
